Did you hear about the terrible transport truck accident in Edmonton, Alberta a couple of days ago? I’ve seen the video that a terrified commuter took as the transport barreled down the highway several times and it’s unbelievable.
The transport traveled along an Edmonton highway for approximately 30 minutes. Barreling along, seemingly out of control until if finally crashed into the abutment and caught on fire.
Edmonton is in our Prairies so the roads are generally flat and straight so I can see how a vehicle manned by perhaps what was an unconscious driver could keep going for so long.
It turns out that the driver was only 25 years old and he suffered from poorly controlled diabetes. I suppose they’ll do an autopsy and investigate to see exactly what happened, but I suspect that the poor man might have been in a diabetic coma. He died when the transport crashed. I sure hope that he had life insurance. Poor guy.
I live in SK, and I saw part of it-the video…on Canada AM….It looked pretty dramatic. Was anyone else hurt?
Accidents are all bad and people just don’t learn from mistakes..It is strange as though they are not afraid of death..
What a tragic accident for the poor young man. We really don’t know what we’re gonna happen to us, so it’s indeed vital to have life insurance for ourselves as well as for our loved ones.
