Successful shopping spree

April 22, 2012 by Tricia

I finally got out to do some much needed shopping. I went out to the mall yesterday. Only for a little while, but it was a good trip. You know, sometimes you go shopping and you can’t find a thing you like and other times everything you look at is perfect? Well yesterday was one of those rare “everything is perfect” days.

I bought a new purse. I really needed a new purse! Then I visited several of my favorite clothing stores and managed to pick up a few new tops, blouses, pants and one skirt. Yeah! The only thing that I really need that I didn’t get was a new pair of shoes. I guess that means another shopping trip … next weekend?

During my shopping spree I took a little break near the malls big fountain. There were two musicians there, playing music for the passersby. One was playing an acoustic guitar and the other was playing what I think was a Luna Guitars Bass. Together they sounded pretty good. It certainly made my little break all the nicer.

I needed the shopping trip. I’ve lost some weight in the last few months and I definitely needed new clothes. In fact I could probably use a lot of new clothes!

January just blew by didn’t it?

January 24, 2012 by Tricia

Wow, it’s hard to believe that January is almost over isn’t it? This month seems to have gone by so quickly or so it seems. At the beginning of this month I never would have thought that it would have felt like this month would have flown by like this as I was (and still am) extremely stressed but I’ve kept myself busy and the month is almost over.

Before we know it, it will be Valentines day .. and it’s a Leap year this year too!

Speaking of Valentines .. one of my nieces called me this weekend and she was talking to me about how she was searching for the perfect valentines day gifts for bf Dan.I don’t know him very well so I could only offer a few suggestions. I did point her towards a few good online sites that might give her some ideas too.

Are you looking forward to Valentines? Do you buy gifts?

Shopping from home tonight

December 6, 2011 by Tricia

You’d never know it, but I’m shopping right now … yep, I am. The great thing is- it’s cold outside and I didn’t even have to dress for the weather. I’m doing all my shopping online tonight.

I’m trying to get a little bit of my Christmas shopping done. I’m not sure how successful I’ll be, but I do think that I found an interesting gift idea for one of my nephews. Whenever he comes over he always has his things and his laptop in a ratty old knapsack and I think it might be a good idea to get him one of these jansport backpacks I’m sure he’d love it. Yes, I might just get that for him.

Now if only I could think of what else to get for everyone else on my list! Just after Christmas I’m going to be going to see my brother and his girlfriend and I haven’t seen them for quite a while. I’d love to get them something special but I have no idea what they’d like. I know, I’ll give them a call tomorrow night and see if I can get some ideas from them – carefully of course.

How are you doing as far as buy gifts on your list goes? Are you done yet?

Seaweed shampoo – yep it’s real

December 4, 2011 by Tricia

I was visiting my hairdresser recently – getting my hair cut and having a visit with her and we got talking about the type of products she uses in her salon.

You see, I started seeing my hairstylist about a year ago and from the very first visit I realized her salon was quite different from most of the other salons that I’ve been to in the past. You see she uses all natural products. Her shampoos and conditioners have herbs and essential oils in them and prior to doing anything to me she always gives me a scalp massage with a soothing oil such as a lavender oil. It’s really quite an experience. I actually like going there, it’s so relaxing.

On my latest visit we got talking about Seaweed shampoos. You see I occasionally suffer from psoriasis and apparently this kind of shampoo can help so she told me to go to seaweedbathco.com for seaweed shampoo so I did and I was surprised at the variety of products and I suppose – flavors? there. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be sold online, but the next time I do a little over the border shopping I’m going to look for it.

Do you ever discover new interesting products at your hair stylist?
