If you enjoy rustic decor visit Tres Amigos Furniture

November 7, 2007 by Tricia

I live in an older home. It was built in the 1920’s so it has lots of beautiful hardwood – door frames, flooring and so on. I’ve tried to balance the look of my home by combining both modern and antique/rustic decor styles. So far I think I’ve been quite successful in creating a unique look for my home.

Of course I’m always on the lookout for the perfect item for my home that will add to or compliment the look I’ve created. So I’m quite happy to have discovered Tres Amigos Furniture. They have a wide selection of Rustic Furniture to choose from as well as rustic hardware such as door or cupboard hinges to complete what ever look you are going for in your home.

You’ll find everything from rustic wall decor to mirrors, to Southwestern Furniture, mirrors, textiles, pottery, rustic hardware, handmade jewelry, hand painted tiles, rustic candles and a whole lot more. Tres Amigos are apparently the largest rustic and Spanish colonial style furniture retailer anywhere!

Many of their items are made by hand and some are even one of a kind so their inventory and selection is constantly changing. All of their furniture is 100% solid wood and no two pieces are exactly the same. You’ve really got to take a look.

Tres Amigos Furniture is considered a Wholesale Furniture retailer and they have a guarantee that states that if you find an item for less elsewhere they will beat the price. You can’t beat that now can you?

If you appreciate the look of rustic furniture and decor you’ve got to visit Tres Amigos.

I’m going to try to get all my holiday shopping done online

November 5, 2007 by Tricia

This year I think that I might try to do most of my holiday shopping online. I really don’t like shopping in crowded malls in November and December. Do you?

One of the sites that I hope to use when shopping is CouponChief. They have deals and coupon codes listed for thousands of online stores. If I’m able to find stores that ship to my area (Canada) I’ll barely have to walk into a department store.

There are a number of Linens and things coupon codes, as well Pottery Barn deals and I know I can get some fantastic gifts for my relatives at those stores.

With the thousands of coupons listed at Couponchief I should be able to get gifts for everyone on my list or at least I hope that I will! If you’re going to be doing some of your holiday shopping online don’t forget to check out Couponchief too.

Time flies by

November 2, 2007 by Tricia

Do you remember Ziggy comics? I thought this was a comic strip from the distant past, but it looks like the comics are still being published as I found them online while searching for the term “Ziggy comics”.

I was just thinking about a small flip book that my sister gave me when I was a kid. It was of course a Ziggy comic and the theme of the booklet was ” I don’t know why I love you like I do” or something to that effect. I loved that book and I still have it somewhere in one of my drawers.

The reason I’m thinking about the book today is because the other night I got a message from a book publisher about a new children’s book that’s theme is Love. They’ll be sending me the book to look over sometime soon. The information that I got on the book reminded me of how that cute little booklet that my sister gave me as a present made me feel. Now I’m hoping that I love this new book just as much.

I was thinking that since my niece is due to have her first baby in February I might give her this new book as a gift. Well, I’d give it to her as a gift for her baby of course! It was the first thing I thought of when I knew I’d be getting the book to look over. Perhaps her child will love that book and treasure it as much as I did my little Ziggy comic booklet.

I can’t believe that my niece is even old enough to have a baby. It doesn’t seem like it was so long ago that I was just a kid myself. My niece was born when I was only 12 years old so it’s almost like I grew up with her. Geez it doesn’t even seem like it was that long ago that I got first communion invitations for her and her she is all grown up already.

Time certainly does go by quickly doesn’t it!

I think we’re just about ready for our trip

October 24, 2007 by Tricia

I think I’m just about all set for our trip to Vegas.

We’ve gone shopping to get some new clothes – a must for any trip! Plus, I got some new things for my computer as I’ll be bringing my laptop with me when I got to the blogging convention.

I got a new battery for my laptop so it will last longer when it’s unplugged, and I also got an external 380 GB hard drive as I expect that Chris and I will be taking a lot of digital photos and videos. I figured we can store all of our digital media on the external hard drive. Plus, later, after our trip I can use the external drive to backup important files – kind of like a zip drive I guess.

I guess you could say we got everything but the IBM memory. Uhm that’s supposed to be a pun … you know, everything but the kitchen sink? Except since I’m talking about my computer … ah never mind. LOL

Pushy shoppers tick me off

October 24, 2007 by Tricia

So, yesterday I started to talk about an adventure I had in Walmart on Sunday. Want to know what happened?

My husband and I had been out shopping – getting some clothes at the mall for our trip to Las Vegas, buying groceries and getting a few other things at Walmart. We’d been on our feet for hours and we were both tired and hungry.

When we finally got in line for one of the cashiers at Walmart we noticed two women standing to the side of our line with their shopping cart. We knew we’d been in line before them and I was sure they were going to try to bud in front of the person ahead of me.

I was keeping an eye on things because I figured there’d be fireworks.

Well they didn’t try to bud in line ahead of the lady with two young children that was ahead of me. Nope. They budded in front of us!

I was determined to not let them in but they kept shoving their cart so hard that it kept banging into the lady ahead of me’s legs! She was holding a baby in her arms. I was afraid that she’d end up falling and that either she or the child would get hurt so I backed off and let the two rude ladies who pretended to speak no English bud in line ahead of me.

I’m tall though so I stood immediately behind them – towering over them since they were both four foot nothing.

I guess I intimidated them because they continued to bang their cart into the lady that had been ahead of me.

Why are people so darn rude! Yes the line ups were long at the Walmart – they always are, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to bully their way into line by almost knocking people over!

I know I shouldn’t have let them in line, but I didn’t want to be part of the cause of someone getting injured.

I was steamed all evening over what these two ladies had done!
