Look at that! An advertisement made entirely out of fruit. That’s right. This sculpture was made out of peaches. Isn’t it cool looking?
What a shame if they wasted the peaches though. I just love peaches.

Unfortunately my garden is still covered in snow. It’s been melting slowly, but at this rate it’s going to take at least a month before it’s totally gone. Sigh …
When the snow does finally disappear, beauties like these fringed tulips will make an appearance. I think these are my favorite tulips. Well, I’m also partial to Angelique tulips as well with their soft pink double petaled flowers.
How is your garden doing? Are you in a warmer area or are you still buried under snow like me?

I’ve posted photos of Chicago’s famous Cloud Gate sculpture -aka The Bean – on a few of our blogs, but I don’t think I’ve posted this photo.
The bean is a huge spherical metallic sculpture in Chicago’s Millennium Park. Depending upon where you are standing when you gaze at the bean you can see different aspects of the surrounding city reflected in it’s almost spotless surface.
What you can see reflected in The Bean in this photo is what I think was a place called the Millennium Theater. It’s a huge outdoor theater or band shell and it’s got a gorgeous design.
Have you seen the bean?

Back in September Chris and I went shopping for some exercise equipment. I had wanted to get in a little better shape before my trip to Las Vegas last November.
I actually bought a lot of stuff. A balance ball, a Pilates DVD, an elliptical machine and some stretchy band type exercise equipment. I honestly can’t remember the proper name for the last stuff. I guess it’s resistance training equipment?
Anyway. My Crohn’s was acting up very badly last fall and while I did get on the elliptical several times I can’t say that it did much good or that I was able to put all that much effort into it. My Crohn’s has actually been quite bad even through the winter so getting into a routine never happened.
Oh and we got a puppy at the end of November too. Heck, even my blogging slowed down because of her arrival!
Now that our puppy is almost 7 months old and is able to entertain herself a little bit I think I can try to get back to using the elliptical again. Of course, spring and nice weather will soon arrive too so I’ll be taking longer walks with our dog too. Getting back to exercising and taking longer walks should help me get back into shape. I hope!
Have you purchased exercise equipment and then for some reason or another ended up not using it as much as you thought you would? I know I’ve done that a few times in the past with health club memberships!
