Whenever I see this photo I always think of the lyrics to the song You’ve got a Friend by Carol King and James Taylor.

That song is actually my husband and I’s song. We danced to it at our wedding. It suits us perfectly because we are best friends.

That poor monkey. Looks like he needs more than a stuffed toy.





Stella’s a little wet

Yellow day lily

I decided to add this site to Green Thumb Sunday … You know I take a lot of photos – why not, eh?

This is a Stella Dora day lily. As with many of my flower photos these days I happened to take this while outside on a rainy day a couple of weeks ago. The petals are covered in water droplets.

I think everyone has Stella Dora. They might be a bit of a stereotype, but they are pretty, they re-bloom and they are easy flowers to grow. I have a few other types of day lilies as well and I enjoy each and every one of their blooms.

Do you do memes?

I keep getting tagged on my main blog Tricia’s Musings. I think in the last six months I’ve been tagged with the 5 things and 8 things memes at least 20 times each and I’ve done them in total as many as 5 or 6 times.

Honest there’s nothing much more to know about me that I haven’t already said in the “thing” memes I’ve already done.

Memes can be fun and they help you socialize and network with other bloggers, but this one’s been done to death. Give me something new that hasn’t been going around for the last year and I’ll probably do it.

Did someone say cheese?

Hmmm if that’s a real photo that chunk of cheese must be huge!

Can you imagine being a mouse or rat that discovered this piece of cheese? It’d be like heaven. I bet it’d be trying to drag it to it’s lair or break off pieces to bring to it’s nest, ’cause if it tried to eat it all in one sitting I’m pretty sure the poor thing would explode!

This reminds me of a story I read on one of the forums that I visit regularly. One of the forum members wrote that she and her kids had just finished doing the laundry – folding it and carrying the clean laundry to the areas they belonged.

At some point they either heard a noise or realized the cat was missing. I think they looked outside first, but they eventually found the cat in the dryer!

The cat had entered the drier as they were pulling clean clothing out of it and I guess they shut the door without noticing!

Good thing they hadn’t been putting wet clothes in for another round!
