Working on new sites

I haven’t been feeling very well over the last few days, but as I’ve felt up to it I’ve been trying to work on some of my new sites.

One of my new sites is a home and garden related blog. I’ve already got a gardening blog where I try to mostly write about garden related topics but I’ve found over the last year that more and more home decor and home reno posts have made their way there so that’s why I created a new blog. The new blog will likely have more home than garden topics.

Another new site that I’m working on is shopping related. There I’ll talk about the latest fashion and make up styles, plus I’ll do posts about home decor, furnishings, appliances and give tips on how to get things done in and around the home so much easier.

I’m sure there’ll be lots of posts of interest between the two blogs and I hope that you’ll come to visit them when I’m ready to reveal their urls. No, don’t worry – the posts won’t be just wrinkle cream reviews although I expect when I talk about cosmetics I will discuss some skin creams. There should be quite a variety of topics and I’m sure that you’ll like the sites.





Fun with puppy

The other day I found the bandanna that had been given to our puppy when we had her groomed in January.

Just for fun I put it around her neck and I was surprised that she didn’t try to get it off. She walked around with it on, looking totally adorable, for at least an hour before it started to loosen from around her neck.

When I took it off I decided to put it on her head around her ears. You know, like a scarf around her head. Again she surprised me by not trying to get it off. She looked like a little old lady … very similar to a couple of my elderly Greek/ Macedonian neighbors! We’d just treated Midnights eyes with an antibiotic eye ointment and it kind of makes her eyes look greasy or teary and of course that only enhance the funny look of the bandanna scarf around her head.

I guess we’re lucky that our pup puts up with us and the silly things we do to her.

The photos are still on my camera. I’ll work on them later today and post one or two. I’m sure you’ll find them funny.

Minty Feet – now that’s refreshing!

Wow. What a great idea!

Everyone gets stinky feet every now and then don’t they? If you’re on your feet most of the day, wear nylons or socks with synthetic materials in them you’re bound to work up a little sweat between your toes and as we all know this can be the cause of some mighty stinky feet.

Well, the Japanese have come up with a great idea. It’s a pad that you put in your shoe. As you walk on the sponge through the day mint fumes are pumped into the shoe.

You’re feet will be, literally, minty fresh.

I love photos of animals in unusual places or doing funny things.

Take this for example.

You have to wonder just how often a bird has a chance to land or ride on a swimming turtle. I’m sure it doesn’t happen often and even less often is it captured on film!

Replaced our Computer monitor with an LCD!

You know what? We bought a new monitor for the desktop computer in early January during all the new years sales and I’m certain that I never even mentioned it on any of my blogs. Duh!

You’d think I would have told you about the new HDTV and VGA lcd monitor by now huh? Actually I haven’t even tried it as a television yet either. It works great as a monitor for the computer. I guess I’d better try it out and see it makes a decent HDTV too eh?

Eventually we’re going to get a second laptop and we might give up on having a desktop computer all together. That’s why it was important that we get an LCD monitor that could also be used as a television. It will fit perfectly in one of our guest bedrooms. There’s a small TV set up there on a TV stand already, but that TV is very old and has a fuzzy picture so the LCD monitor would make a perfect replacement if we ever decide to stop using it as a computer monitor.
