Buy and sell tickets at Viagogo – concerts, sports and live theater events

October 22, 2007 by Tricia

Have you ever purchased tickets for an upcoming concert, the theater or perhaps a sporting event only to have something come up causing you to not be able to go? What did you end up doing with those tickets? Did you give them to a friend or did you simply write them off as money lost?

Well, if you ever find yourself in that kind of situation again, and of course if you live in Europe, you might want to visit Viagogo. Not only can you sell tickets that you are unable to use on Viagogo, but you’ll also be able to purchase tickets to a wide variety of events. For example if you are a sports fan you might want to visit Viagogo to search for Football Tickets, Cricket Tickets or perhaps Rugby Tickets. Perhaps you’ll be able to get tickets for your favorite team?

guitars3.jpg I live in North America, but if I could get to London in Mid-December I’d try to get tickets for the Thin Lizzy & Queensryche concert at Apollo Hammersmith in London on December 13th.

I love Thin Lizzy. I’ve been a fan of the band ever since I first heard their music as a teen. It’s so sad that the lead singer passed away so long ago. He was extremely talented and I’m sure the band would have been huge if he’d still been around.

I have a personal interest in Thin Lizzy as well. You see I work with, and am good friends with, the lead singers first cousin at the hospital. It would be so cool to go and see the band that her cousin started. Plus, the price of the Thin Lizzy concert tickets is fairly reasonable.

Viagogo has tickets listings for other great bands that I’d love to see as well like The Police and the Sex Pistols. Check it out – I’m sure you’ll find some great tickets there just like I did.

Interested in learning how to Salsa Dance online?

September 16, 2007 by Tricia

I’ve always enjoyed dancing, but I can’t say that I’ve done much dancing over the last few years. Oh sure when I attend a wedding or go to a party I’ll often be on the dance floor at least half the time. I kind of miss not dancing as much as I used to in the past.

Do you enjoy dancing? Or do you have two left feet?

If you’d like to try something different you might want to visit the Salsa BootCamp website. You can learn Salsa, Merengue, Cha-cha, and Bachata dance through their online course. Actually the site has really taken off. They apparently only opened up a few months ago to those who had signed up pre-launch and they’ve only just opened their doors to accept new students.

It seems like it’s a good dance course. There’s thousands of videos online that members can watch in order to learn all the the steps as they learn to Dance with Salsa Dancing BootCamp. The dance courses range from basic lessons to advanced dance steps.

I like the idea of learning new dance steps on your own time in the privacy of your home. I’m sure some people don’t sign up for dancing lessons at dance studios because they are too shy or perhaps might be embarrassed that they don’t know how to dance. The Salsa, Merengue & Bachata Dance Bootcamp would be perfect for those who lack confidence and want to become acquainted with some of the dance moves before going out to dance in public.

I would imagine people with busy lifestyles and children to care for might also like the idea of learning how to Salsa or Merengue through an online course rather than at a set time each and every week.

If the Salsa Bootcamp sounds like a great idea to you why don’t you visit the site. You can sign up for a free three day membership in order to check out the site and begin some lessons. You’ll also get two free DVDs just for signing up!

Cas Haley and my husband have similar guitar styles

September 15, 2007 by Tricia

During the summer I taped America’s Got Talent and I’m down to the last two shows. Well, I just watched the second last show this evening.

I’m so impressed by that Cas Haley. Shhhh I still don’t know if he won or not as I’ve got one more show to go ..

He plays so much like my husband Chris it’s uncanny. Chris doesn’t do as much reggae as Cas does, but the playing style is very similar. Even the guitars that Cas Haley plays are the same as my husbands!

Hmm maybe the next time there’s a Canadian music talent show or an international one (Rock Star come back!) I’ll encourage Chris to try out.

Neighbors neighbors go away

September 15, 2007 by Tricia

My neighbors have gotta go.

I didn’t have a good night so I was having a nap on the couch when I was rudely awoken to the sound of very loud guitar. Even my husband doesn’t play any of his six guitars that loud!

It sounded like they were in my living room.

I think they think that whenever our car isn’t in the driveway we aren’t home so they do whatever the heck they want. You see my husband went out of town for a party today … but there is a car in our driveway … our other neighbors son took advantage of our car being gone so he parked in the single car only driveway we share with our elderly neighbor. Of course his tires are on our lawn! His car is too big for the tiny driveway. At least he doesn’t seem to have hit the house this time!

Ah neighbors on both sides are driving me nuts today.

The baseball crowd loved the music

Last Friday my husband and I and pretty much the rest of my family went to a Blue Jays versus the Seattle Mariners baseball game here in Toronto.

It was a great game. The Blue Jays won of course – after making several home runs! Oh and some of the cast of Heroes attended the game too and I was able to get some photos of them. That was interesting. I love that show.

After the game, when we were walking along the walkway leading from the stadium to Front Street we came across a man playing the accordion. I guess the crowd was in a jovial mood because as people passed the musician they broke out into dance.

I think that’s the musician right behind the man in blue who appears to be having a great time dancing to the music.

Oh and on Sunday and Monday we went to the beach. There was a live band at one of the bars we walked by on the beach and I can’t remember what song they were playing, but they sounded just like the band they were copying. Hmmm who knows maybe they were the real band?

On the beach people were playing volleyball, swimming, sunbathing, flying kites and even I’m sure I saw someone with a model rocket. I certainly hope they didn’t set it off at the beach. It was crowded!
