Wordless Wednesday
Where I’d love to be right now.
I took this photo in early September while at the beach here in Toronto. I need to just chill out right now since I’m not really a very happy camper at the moment so the beach looks pretty good.

One of these days Chris and I are going to go on a European vacation. When we go I’d want to go to England, France, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. I’m sure that if we can take a long enough vacation I’d add a few other countries to my list too!
We won’t be going for a long time, but if you are, you might be looking for Hotels in Berlin or perhaps some beautiful Hotels in Vienna? Try cheaperthanhotels.co.uk where you’ll find discount hotel room rates and you can book them right online too.
If you go to Vienna you might enjoy going on a wine tasting tour, or if you are there for New Years you should attend the Imperial Ball.
Me? I’d go on some hiking tours. I’ve learned of a hiking tour called the 7 Resort Walk in the Austrian Alps and it sounds like a lot of fun. It’d also be great exercise too. Of course I’d have my cameras on hand as I’m sure the scenery would be absolutely amazing!
I’m sure some of the Hotels in Vienna are quite old as well so there’d probably be some lovely restored hotels to stay in as well. I enjoy visiting historic sites and buildings so it would be very interesting to stay in a hotel that had some history to it as well.
I know that several people that read this blog are from Europe. What kind of activities or locations should we visit when we go to Europe some time in the distant future?

One last look at the lovely purple petunias before they start to die down as it cools here in Toronto.
Petunias are such and easy flower to grow. They look good in a hanging basket or planter on their own or combined with other flowers such as snapdragons, spikes, small hosta, and annual geraniums (Pelargonium).
I’ve found that butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds enjoy petunias as well.
BTW if you want to see a beautiful rose please visit my photoblog Breath of Life Photography.
Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.
Update – wow, I was dozing when I made this post. Two weeks later I finally realize I never gave it a title! Duh!

This summer my husband and I went to an outdoor art exhibit and the exhibit that I enjoyed the most was the one put on by a metal work artist.
This looks like a blue jay either guarding it’s nest or possibly landing or flying away from it’s nest. What do you think? I love that there’s actually eggs in the nest too.
All of the metal art work was made from recovered metal such as propane tanks and oil tanks.

Last year, well last summer I should say, I treated myself to my first laptop computer.
Lately I’ve been hearing people say that their laptop only lasted for about a year. I don’t know what models they purchased or how they used their computer, but that seems like an awfully short time doesn’t it?
Now I’m wondering how long I might expect this laptop to last? I use it for at least 8 hours a day. Sometimes it’s on for 48 hours at a time! Often it’s on for 12 to 18 hours.
I’ve actually thought of getting another laptop. Perhaps something else to add to the ol Christmas list? Chris likes to use the laptop too so it might be nice for us to have two of them. We have a desktop computer too, but I find it so much more convenient to use the laptop most of the time, although I think I’m more productive when I sit at the desktop as I’m not watching TV at the same time. That’s probably the key reason why I do better at the desktop.
So what do you think? How long should a laptop last and should I get a second one?
