I spoke too soon!

October 19, 2007 by Tricia

Correction.

Yes we have our passports, BUT …

Mine has errors! Oh no, oh no!

Stupid Passport Canada! Even though you have to provide documentation as to where you were born ie birth certificate …. they listed my birth place wrong!

Now I have to go to the main Passport Canada office on Monday morning and get them to quickly change my passport!

If I wasn’t traveling out of the country in early November this wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Still it’s a mistake that shouldn’t have happened.

I just hope that they can put a huge rush on my passport correction.

Cleared to Travel – Our Passports have Arrived

October 19, 2007 by Tricia

Well I’m happy to say that the passports that we were very slow to apply for arrived yesterday. Just as the Passport Canada office said they would!

We filled out our passport paperwork and handed in our applications at the Passport office on October 2nd. They told us that our Passports should be finished and would be mailed out on October 17th. Yesterday, the 18th, my husband was walking to work and he ran into our mailman, a friend, and our mailman gave them to Chris.

Unfortunately this was a mistake on both their parts. Chris didn’t feel good about leaving the passports that we’ll need for our November trip to Las Vegas in his locker at work, nor did he feel secure about leaving them at the nursing station so he gave them to his boss to keep in her locked office.

Uh oh – she left early and our passports were locked in her office!

Hopefully Chris will have remembered to get a hold of our passports today and brings them home! I want to take a good look at them and make sure that there isn’t a mistake on them or that we don’t have to fill out anything else.

I’m really happy that they arrived so fast though. I mean we’re going away the second week of November and I stupidly waiting to get our passports until the beginning of October? Yeah, I’m lucky!

Oh and when we booked our trip we went through a special discount travel club and got a membership. So now that we have our passports I hope we’ll do a lot more traveling. Lets see Vegas in November, maybe the Caribbean in the late winter or early spring and Branson perhaps sometime in early summer? Yeah that sounds good. Who knows, maybe I can even talk Chris into going to Europe next year?

Art imitates life?

Wordless Wednesday

00032980

Ok we’ve all seen new stories that show cars that have crashed into buildings or that have been carried by strong storm winds into trees or the top of buildings.

Some commercial buildings place cars or even airplanes in settings that make them look like they’ve crashed into the building … Well, now even home owners are beginning to do their own take on “car crashes into building” scenes.

I guess this is a new art form?

Rich red snapdragons.

Mine are still blooming away thanks to the heatwave we had last week.

In fact just about everything in my garden that had any bloom ability left is blooming away right now.

The temperatures are finally at a more seasonal level – like 50 to 60 F rather than almost 100F. Perhaps my plants will now start to get the message that it’s time to go dormant for the winter?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

A site that reviews the top online casinos

October 13, 2007 by Tricia

Can you believe I’ve never gambled at a casino? I know so many people who make regular trips to Casinos all over North America, and yet I’ve never once given it a try.

Needless to say I’ve never used and online casino either. I do believe that there are even more people that use online casinos than who actually go to try their luck in casinos.

If you enjoy visiting online casinos you might want to visit Online Casino Bluebook as this site contains reviews of the tops ten Online Casinos. I believe this list is updated each month if not even more regularly.

You’ll also find reviews and top 10 listings for no deposit casinos, bingo halls, poker rooms, and SportsBook sites.

I found the site very easy to navigate and when I took a look at some of the reviews I found them to be very informative. Bonus’ and other special features of each online casino are listed in an easy to understand manner in each of the reviews that I took a look at on onlinecasinobluebook.

So if you enjoy playing at online casinos visit onlinecasinobluebook and make sure you are playing at the best online casino and or one that offers the bonus’ or features that you’ve been looking for in a casino.
