I really have to clean the basement

June 20, 2007 by Tricia

I really have to clean out my basement. Do you know what I just realized? I still have some of my old office furniture down stairs. Office furniture that I used when I had my business.

Sure it’s only my old desk and a few chairs, but I think it’s time to get rid of it.

I think I kept it either as furniture to use in the basement – in case we didn’t have much furniture for the basement or perhaps to use to set up a small office in the basement.

I don’t think that’s going to happen so it’s time for that stuff to go.

Anyone want a slightly used desk? It probably has gold dust all over it because I used it when I was a jeweller. LOL

A place in the mountains

June 20, 2007 by Tricia

Earlier this week I was looking at a real estate site that sold homes in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I’d love to live in the mountains or if not right in the mountains to be able to have a mountain view pretty much every time I looked out my window.

Who wouldn’t?

Well I just found another site that has blue ridge real estate and there’s some beautiful homes on this site. If you have any interest at all in living in this area of the country you should take a look at their listings. Gorgeous!

Growing lilies

Don’t you just love the way lilies look when they are growing? I think they have sort of a pineapple look to them.

I grow several types of lilies. Tiger lilies, oriental lilies, hybrid lilies … you name it, I must have a couple hundred!

I took this photo about three weeks ago. Most of the lilies are now three to four feet tall and covered in flower buds. I’m sure they’ll bloom before the week is over.

Calling it in

June 19, 2007 by Tricia

This is strange. In the past month I’ve actually been asked to do a few speaking engagements regarding my success with websites and blogging.

One business contact is holding a series of four seminars and they begin next week. The seminars are out of town so I can’t attend in person. He’d decided that perhaps he’d just do a phone interview with me and I suppose, hand out the interview to seminar attendees.

Now he’s changed his mind.

He wants to call me during the seminars and interview me via a conference call. He says the calls will only be 5 minutes. Somehow I doubt that … but $50 bucks for a short phone interview? I’m not sure yet. but I might do it.
