I just found out that a very good friend of mine will be celebrating a special anniversary later this month. She’ll have worked in her job for 25 years at the end of the month.
I don’t just mean that she’s been working at the same career for 25 years, but that she’s also been working in the same company for that time as well. These days that’s pretty rare what with companies going out of business and layoffs and so on, not to mention people changing careers. A few days ago I realized that in June I’ll have been a nurse for 20 years, but I’ve worked in several private clinics and hospitals in that time.
I think I’m going to get my friend a special gift. I’ve been looking online and I found a site that has gourmet Anniversary gifts for her – things like delicious looking chocolate covered berries. Yum! I’m fairly certain she’ll love those. I’m going to order some for her and hope that she likes them.
What a sweet thoughts from you! Your friend is indeed lucky to have you as a good comrade. Giving her a gourmet as an anniversary gift is an interesting one. I am also planning to give my buddy a gift for his promotion at work.
