I used to love Autumn, but now that I garden there’s some sadness whenever fall arrives.
I hate to see my garden die down for the winter. I know it’s part of a cycle, but I sometimes wish that I lived in a climate where my plants could bloom year round.
Hmm maybe this year I’ll be as successful as last with my indoor plants. Last year, between my garden plants blooming from late March until early December and my indoor plants (Orchids, indoor tropical hibiscus, Amaryllis etc) blooming from late December to April I had blooms all the time. It was lovely.
This is a picture of the Cosmo’s blooming outside my house in my planted boulevard. They’re starting to die down, but a few of the flowers are still stubbornly blooming.
I like how the petals of this rose, Yves Piaget, go wild as the flower begins to die down. Isn’t this a pretty rose? I love it’s color.
What’s blooming in your garden right now as we head for winter?

Can’t really say anthing is blooming in my yard now. The mums are drying up, the few marigolds left are looking pathetic. Really dislike fall. When I was younger it was my favorite time of the year. We camped, hiked and had fun playing in the leaves. Now, fall is filled with football, cold, and yard work.
