Wordless Wednesday
Oh oh … I think some little dog just got himself into big big trouble! I know if that were my dog she’d be going into her crate for a while!
Ugh … can you imagine having to clean up that mess?

You know what I did this weekend? I updated 116 blogs to either WP version 2.6.1 or the latest version 2.6.2. That was a huge task!
Luckily I was able to do half of them using my C-panel Fantastico section – those were the blogs that were only updated to 2.6.1 and the rest I updated by using the WordPress Automatic Update plugin. I used the plugin for the first time … otherwise my updates would have all been manual updates. Ugh … that would have taken even longer.
Unfortunately I’ve discovered a small problem or two. The blogs that I updated using the Automatic update plugin won’t go into the new Turbo mode using Google Gears. After reading the WordPress.org forums it seems that the update plugin doesn’t update all of the files so I might have a few missing. So it looks like I’ll have to manually update anyway.
I also discovered that one of the blogs that I used the autoupdate plugin on has a widget problem. The site looks fine from the front end, but when I try to edit the widgets in the right column I can only see a few of the widgets. There’s an error message that I’m missing one of the files that one of the codes i have in a text widget calls for (the file is not missing BTW – it’s where it should be). I can’t see any of the widgets below the one that WP thinks has an error in it.
So I don’t know if that’s an error caused by using the Automatic Upgrade Plugin – if it is, it will soon be corrected when I manually update the iste, or if it’s a problem with either the theme that I’m using and or WP 2.6.2 itself.
I hope that I can fix the problem with a manual update of the WP files. Otherwise I’m going to have to go searching to see if anyone else has this problem and try to track down a way to fix it. Or wait until WP updates again so I can see if this problem goes away. Big drag not being able to edit the content of you widgets! Grrrr
Oh I also discovered that when creating a post in WP 2.6.2 that if you accidentally forget to give your post a title there’s no going back! You used to be able to edit the post slug. The only time I ever did that was on the rare occasion that I posted without a title. I’d just go back, remove the slug and save the post after giving it a title and the post slug would contain the post title as it should. It seems that there’s no post slug area in the new WP. So the post I made a mistake on now has a numerical url. Yuck … not good SEO.
Exciting weekend huh? Now it’s time for me to go and eat dinner. I made homemade spaghetti sauce so we’re having a delicious spaghetti dinner. We’ll watch House while we eat … can’t wait to see the premiere!

Several of my roses are either blooming again or are starting to bud in preparation for perhaps the last blooms of the season.
Many of my roses never seems to get the message that the weather is cooling and winter is coming so they continue to bloom right into November until the first snow falls.
There are some that bloom around this time of year and then set rosehips. I love the look of Rosehips. They remind me of small crabapples. I’ll have to take some photos of them when they start to form on my roses this year.
Roses like The Fairy fall into the bloom until covered in snow category!
Perhaps this year when it does start to cool down and we start to get frost or perhaps a short lived snow fall I’ll try to remember to bring my camera out and take photos of the frost or snow covered frozen roses. They are quite pretty when they are either covered in frost or dusted with snow.
I know I shouldn’t be talking about winter yet. There’s still time before it arrives. I guess it’s just because it’s been cooling down so much earlier this year that thoughts of winter are upon me. Maybe it’s the huge rainstorm we’re expecting today too … remnants of hurricane Ike … Yikes! Parts of this city are going to get flooded! Hopefully not this area though.
Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information. GTS participants remember to check in at As the Garden Grows each week so that we’ll know you made a new post!

I’m so achy these days. I think all the rain we had this summer is getting to my joints. I have Crohn’s disease and that can affect the joints as well, so the combination of a wet season and an autoimmune disorder attacking my body is wrecking havoc!
I’ve been talking more calcium and tablets to help with the joint ache, but I’ve been wondering if wearing a magnetic bracelet might help. I’m at the point where it’s probably worth a try … especially since it’s getting cooler outside and it won’t be long before winter hits. I’m sure I’ll be even more achy come winter.
If you have achy joints, maybe caused by arthritis, what works for you as far as managing joint pain?

There are a few new shows premiering this week so we’ve been taping them and watching them when we have time. At this moment I’m watching the new TV show “Fringe” that premiered on Tuesday night.
I’m not very far into this new sci-fi series, but from what I’ve seen I think I’ll like it. That says something, because I don’t normally like Sci-Fi series .. Well ok, I liked Star Trek the Next Generation, but nothing really since then.
Did you see the show? What did you think of Fringe?
