I’m so fed up with my Crohn’s disease that I’m willing to look at alternative medicine for any kind of relief.
Actually I know that some herbs are said to work very well for people with Crohns and Ulcerative colitis. Things like Aloe Vera juice, Cats Claw and I’m pretty sure that I’ve heard something about grape seed extract, but I can’t remember if it was for inflammatory bowel disease or something else.
Either way … I’m ready to try things other than traditional medicines! If you’ve heard of anything that works for Crohn’s please let me know.

I can’t even remember how my flu-rattled brain got me here but my mother has suffered with Crohn’s disease for years. She got a lot of relief when we could talk her into drinking one of the Shaklee soy products…no, I don’t sell the stuff and don’t even know where to get it but I recall that if we could get her to take it (mixed with water not milk) daily for a week, most of her worst symptoms abated.

Hello!
I’m very sorry to hear you are suffering from Crohn’s.
I don’t know your experiences with traditional drugs for Crohn’s, and I have no helpful info on alternatives, sorry to say. But you might be interested in visiting my site to learn about what may be a better way of using traditional meds. I don’t know if you’ve already attempted both steroids and immunosuppressants, or in what order.
Just FYI – I’m not a doc, I just read a lot about this kind of stuff. I wish you the best of luck, though!

I am sorry about your ailment. You should take on a complete diet filled with fresh fruits and veggies so you can recuperate faster. Not sure about the grapeseed extract though.

I’ve got Ulcerative Colitis, and I find that the Paleo Diet for Autoimmunity works best for me. I also take VSL3 Probiotics and Fish Oils. The herb Boswellia is supposed to be usefull as well
