Darn Crohn’s Disease

August 14, 2007 by Tricia

I’m still trying to decide if I’ll go to Brantford tomorrow with my husband. After having all those house guests and becoming so ill on Sunday night and into Monday I think I’ll just have to wait and see how I feel once I get up in the morning.

I hate being sick. When you are chronically ill you can’t make plans. You never know if you’ll be feeling well next week let alone the next day. I have the occasional good day but they seem to be further and further apart. It can be very depressing.

So I’m sort of trying to decide whether I’ll go with my husband to his parents. It will be our last chance to spend some time with his brother before he goes back to Chicago on Wednesday so that’s a reason to go. How I’m feeling is a big reason to stay home and rest and hope I feel better later in the week.

I hate being sick. I really hate it.

Visit The Debt Help website and find a solution to your debt problems

August 14, 2007 by Tricia

I think almost everyone runs into money trouble at some point in their life. I’d like to say that most people manage to get themselves out of debt on their own, but I know far too many people who’ve had some major debt issues to believe that.

If you’ve gotten yourself in over your head with expenses or you’ve been over spending and now you have bills to deal with that you know you can’t pay why don’t you visit the debthelp.com website.

The Debt Help web was created in order to help people that have gotten themselves into debt. When you visit the site you’ll see that there are a number of debt related articles aimed at helping your understand credit, credit ratings, loans, student loans, debt, debt solutions and services that will assist you in debt consolidation. In fact, on the main page there’s a section in which you can answer a few simple questions about your finances and a button below that marked “find a solution” that you can click and it will take you to another page with questions related to the type of answers you gave on the main page. Follow the steps and you may soon find that you have a debt consolidation option that you hadn’t though of before, and you may find that things aren’t as bad as you thought. At the very least you should see a way out of your current situation.

Getting out of debt and staying out of debt is hard work. If you are a spender and perhaps walking that fine line between being in debt and living from pay check to paycheck without any savings you really should take a look at the articles on the site.

As I said you’ll find some very well written and easy to understand articles regarding credit counseling, debt management, bankruptcy, student loans, tax debt and many other finance related articles. You’ll even find debt calculators that will help you figure out how to pay off your debts, what kind of mortgage you can afford and how much interest you’re paying on your various loans.

I really do think the wealth of articles is one of the strong points of the Debthelp.com website. I’ve visited the site in the past and each time I visit the site I’ve been impressed over just how much information is available on the website. Visit the site yourself, I’m sure you’ll find some very helpful information.

House full of people

August 13, 2007 by Tricia

I’m exhausted and in pain. We had a houseful of guests here from Saturday through to early this morning. By houseful I mean there were nine people staying in the house!

That’s stressful at any time, but I’ve been feeling terrible for a couple of weeks due to my Crohn’s and it was UNBEARABLE having all these people here.

I’d put something down and my brother in law would move it into another room. A while later I’d be looking for whatever he’d moved and find it in the weirdest place. My husbands father does this kind of stuff when he visits too and it just drives me nuts. I mean they move stuff that never moves! There’s no need to move it, that’s where it belongs! Grrrr

Our nineteen year old niece is really hard to get along with too. I mean, my husband and I were just saying that’s she’s really disagreeable … we agreed on that. So it was really hard having a hostile entity in the house! The friend she brought with her was much nicer than she is. My husband just said gee I wonder how they became friends and why such a nice girl is hanging around our niece. LOL

I’m gonna lie down soon …

Win movie passes for The Eye of the Dolphin

August 13, 2007 by Tricia

There’s a new movie opening in theaters on August 24th. It’s called Eye of the Dolphin and it’s said to be a perfect family movie that would be enjoyed by teenage girls, or might even be a perfect father daughter movie night outing.

If you’d like a chance to win free movie passes just fill out the form and you might be able to get tickets to an exclusive sneak pre-view of Eye of the Dolphin. You can watch a short movie trailer while visiting the free movie pass site too.

The movie, written by Wendell Morris a three time Emmy winner, was filmed in the Bahamas and features spectacular scenes above and below water, smart dolphins, and a great cast of characters – Carly Schroeder, Adrian Dunbar, Katharine Ross, George Harris, Jane Lynch and Christine Adams.

The story is about a 15 year old girl who’s been expelled from her Los Angeles high school. She’s sent to live with her dolphin researcher father in the Bahamas. The father is a little crusty and has no time for his rebellious daughter. His daughter eventually discovers the dolphins and and unexpected connection forms between the daughter and an orphaned wild dolphin. The girl soon finds that she and the dolphin have the power between them to bring hope to the impoverished residents in her new home.

This sounds like a nice movie for teens or teens and their parents to see.

The Baronne

Baronne Prevost Rose

I’m showing off my royal roses and flowers this Sunday. One of my sites has a prince and another a royal purple flower.

This rose is called Baronne Prevost and it’s an antique rose with a lovely damask rose scent. I love old roses with their quartered sections. This rose just looks full with many petals but when it first forms the petals are divided into four sections and it’s just lovely.

I think I can almost say that the Baronne is growing into a short tree as it’s holding at about eight feet tall and each year it’s main branches get thicker and thicker. That’s a tree or a large shrub, right?

Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.
