Buy and sell tickets at Viagogo – concerts, sports and live theater events

October 22, 2007 by Tricia

Have you ever purchased tickets for an upcoming concert, the theater or perhaps a sporting event only to have something come up causing you to not be able to go? What did you end up doing with those tickets? Did you give them to a friend or did you simply write them off as money lost?

Well, if you ever find yourself in that kind of situation again, and of course if you live in Europe, you might want to visit Viagogo. Not only can you sell tickets that you are unable to use on Viagogo, but you’ll also be able to purchase tickets to a wide variety of events. For example if you are a sports fan you might want to visit Viagogo to search for Football Tickets, Cricket Tickets or perhaps Rugby Tickets. Perhaps you’ll be able to get tickets for your favorite team?

guitars3.jpg I live in North America, but if I could get to London in Mid-December I’d try to get tickets for the Thin Lizzy & Queensryche concert at Apollo Hammersmith in London on December 13th.

I love Thin Lizzy. I’ve been a fan of the band ever since I first heard their music as a teen. It’s so sad that the lead singer passed away so long ago. He was extremely talented and I’m sure the band would have been huge if he’d still been around.

I have a personal interest in Thin Lizzy as well. You see I work with, and am good friends with, the lead singers first cousin at the hospital. It would be so cool to go and see the band that her cousin started. Plus, the price of the Thin Lizzy concert tickets is fairly reasonable.

Viagogo has tickets listings for other great bands that I’d love to see as well like The Police and the Sex Pistols. Check it out – I’m sure you’ll find some great tickets there just like I did.

Headachey day

October 22, 2007 by Tricia

I have such a headache today.

I used to get really bad headaches all the time when I was in my teens, but I grew out of them when I was in my early twenties. Well, grew out of them or something changed that helped put an end to the terrible daily headaches that I’d get.

Now I only seem to get them around that time of the month for the most part. Lately though I’ve been getting a bad headache at least once a week. The kind that makes one of your eyes ache and burn.

The whole right side of my head is affected with this one and nothing I do seems to relieve it. I’ve eaten, I’ve taken Tylenol, I’ve taken my pain pills that I normally take for my crohns … the only thing left to try is perhaps an aspirin as that sometimes helps.

I have a feeling that if this doesn’t go away soon I’ll be stuck on the couch unable to get up.

The Amazing Wine club delivers premium wines each month to members

October 22, 2007 by Tricia

In the last few years my husband and I have really started to enjoy wine. Not that we drink wine all that often, but we’ve developed a new appreciation for it.

I hate to say this, but when we first started seeing each other, if we drank wine, the only wine we’d try were white wines! We just didn’t enjoy red wine. At least we had that in common. It was a good friend and neighbor that opened our eyes and I guess you could say taste buds to the delicacies of a good red wine. It’s possible that we drink more red wine these days than white!

As I said we don’t drink a lot of wine, but I’ve considered joining a Wine club. If we were to join a wine club such as the Amazing Wine Club we’d receive featured wine selections each month.

Each of the featured wines are chosen after being taste tested by professionals. Only the wines that meet the Amazing Wine Club’s highest standards are chosen to be delivered to wine club members. These wines include hard to find and hand crafted wines from leading wine producing regions from all over the world.

Each month members of the Amazing Wine Club will receive two premium bottles of wine. I suppose the best part of the experience of being a member of this kind of club is getting to experience new wines – perhaps ones that you can’t find in your local stores or ones that you wouldn’t have thought to try on your own. Memberships can be purchased for as little as three months up to a year.

If club members really enjoy one of the wines that they’ve been sent they can purchase additional bottles at a club discount.

I’ll have to tell my husband about the Amazing Wine Club and see what he thinks. In the meantime though, a membership to the club might make a great gift for some of the wine lovers that we know.

What a name for a lovely autumn flower – Toad Lily. I wonder who thought up that name?

The photo that I’ve posted today is of Toad Lily flower buds. If you ask me they’re more than a little phallic looking. I took that photo a couple of weeks ago and now the flowers are blooming.

This is what the Toad Lilies look like when they are blooming –

Aren’t they so much more lovely than their name?

Too warm inside – too cool outside

October 21, 2007 by Tricia

Last week it started getting cool here so we made sure our furnace was turned on. It went on several times last week because it really was cool outside, but the last few days it’s been seasonably warm – not too warm, but pleasant outside. Obviously with it being fairly nice outside our furnace hasn’t come on for a few days, but I’m finding it warm inside the house.

We’ve been opening the windows for a little while during the warmest part of the day, but again, it’s cool enough that you don’t want to keep them open too long and make the furnace come on. However, I’m finding it pretty warm inside the house. Especially at night.

It’s 13 Celsius outside at 3 in the morning. That’s 55 F for those that don’t understand Celsius.

I don’t really feel comfortable opening the doors and windows at this time of night so I’ve turned on all the ceiling fans. They’re helping a bit as they stir the air, but I wish the house were a little cooler.

Maybe I will go upstairs and open a few windows.

Don’t you just hate it when you’re too warm and you can’t do much about it?
