Too warm inside – too cool outside

October 21, 2007 by Tricia

Last week it started getting cool here so we made sure our furnace was turned on. It went on several times last week because it really was cool outside, but the last few days it’s been seasonably warm – not too warm, but pleasant outside. Obviously with it being fairly nice outside our furnace hasn’t come on for a few days, but I’m finding it warm inside the house.

We’ve been opening the windows for a little while during the warmest part of the day, but again, it’s cool enough that you don’t want to keep them open too long and make the furnace come on. However, I’m finding it pretty warm inside the house. Especially at night.

It’s 13 Celsius outside at 3 in the morning. That’s 55 F for those that don’t understand Celsius.

I don’t really feel comfortable opening the doors and windows at this time of night so I’ve turned on all the ceiling fans. They’re helping a bit as they stir the air, but I wish the house were a little cooler.

Maybe I will go upstairs and open a few windows.

Don’t you just hate it when you’re too warm and you can’t do much about it?

Here in Vegas its been the same way lately….too cold outside and too warm inside. There is no happy median. We keep the heat on since my 7 month old son has been sick. So the rest of us suffer through the heat and if we need to be cooled off we go outside for a minute. Its not too bad but I know exactly what you mean.
