Wordless Wednesday
What an adorable pile of fur!
I guess they didn’t want to pose that way for long as you can see someone holding the top two cats on the pile. Maybe the owner was just keeping the cats from tipping?

Wow! I’m very happy right now. I’ve just won my first Internet related prize! I have an extra $100 in my paypal account thanks to PayU2Blog.
I do a little work here and there for a great blogging company. I’ve been working with them since May, 2007 I believe.
They offer bloggers another way to make some money blogging. Each week I’m given a few assignments for the blogs that I have registered with them and I’m always given a few days to work my assignments into my sites posts. No pressure, good pay – what more could I ask for?
As I said the money is good and they often have promotions for their advertisers where bloggers are given products to try. I’ve only been given one free product to try out so far and it was the beautiful canvas that I told you about back in July. That’s right – I was able to turn one of my beautiful photographs into a canvas (by canvasondemand.com) that I can display in my home. It’s gorgeous and it was FREE!
Not only am I given easy assignments such as writing about home decor, drug rehabilitation, popcorn machines and things like that, I’m also paid every two weeks and occasionally have a chance to try free products, but I also have a chance each week to win a draw for $100.
they holds a draw once a week – usually on Fridays or more often Mondays. Any of their bloggers who have added their banner (and notified them) to their blogs are entered in the weekly draws. This week this blog “My World” was chosen as the winner.
Want to see how they picked my site? It’s a good video … come on watch it … 😉

I was just saying on my gardening blog that it’s time to buy some new bulbs for the garden. My oriental lilies didn’t come up this year and neither did my Lucifer crocosmia.
I think I know why my lovely red crocosmia didn’t come up though … Chris got out in the garden this past spring before I did, and he thought he was doing me a favor by tidying up the garden beds. I think he might have pulled out the crocosmia. It would have looked like long dead grass in the spring and he might not have noticed the tiny bulbs at the ends when he pulled them out of the ground.
Oops!
Hopefully I can find some new crocosmia bulbs in the store. Perhaps I’ll go later today and have a look.
Do you grow Crocosmia? It’s pretty easy to grow. Well, provided that no one pulls it out on you in the Spring.
Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

If you enjoy traveling you might also enjoy this travel blog. It’s called the RealTravel Blog and it’s written by a group of editors who’ve gathered the best travel related stories, recommendations and photos from the realtravel.com community.
There’s nothing like hearing accounts of peoples experiences in another country before you decide whether to go there for a couple weeks vacation. The latest post on the travel blog is a list that’s been compiled by couple who left their home in Minnesota in April 2006 to travel around the world. The list is, of course, about their top ten unforgettable experiences around the world. They’ve been to some amazing places! In fact, I think all of the places mentioned on their list are also places that my husband and I have discussed visiting. Hopefully we’ll get to visit these sites some day. For now we can just be voyeurs and learn from others experiences.
Check out the categories on the travel blog. It’s pretty much a list of countries. Each country category has several posts within it that list some of the nicest places in each country to visit. Again, all the posts are accounts of other peoples fantastic vacations.
Visit and or bookmark this blog. I think it would be a good resource for anyone planning a holiday.

I don’t think there’s any better combination than a sunset over water.
I took this photo during the summer during one of our many visits to The Beach area in Toronto.
I love this city as there is so much to do here. Live theater, festivals – one being the Toronto Film Festival that just ended, nightlife, the many parks and of course the beautiful beach area.
Lake Ontario is huge. If you’ve never seen it before and didn’t know it was one of the Great Lakes you’d probably think it was the ocean. I know my photos of it have fooled many people into thinking I live by the sea!
Do you have a beach area in your city or town?
