I believe that this flower is called Scabiosa. I grew these flowers from seed about four or five years ago in my front garden beds and ever since then they come up on their own all over the place. Lets just say they are hardy and they reseed themselves quite well.
This one happens to be growing in one of my planters. I didn’t plant it, it just came up on it’s own. I’ve come to think of them as pretty weeds.
