I actually do use the charge card, for as much as possible, rarely do I have cash in hand. I recommend others do the same. Almost all charge cards nowdays have means of getting money back, getting points that can be turned into goods and services. We've done very well for multiple years with the money we save because we do use our charge cards. I could list the household items we've gotten from points as well. The trick is to be disciplined, to truly know what you can spend on the card and pay it off each month so you're not paying interest.
