Also with your gardening background you could document your gardening secrets and suggestions and include some of your favorite seeds. These are things I have had to call my parents for and wish I had. Quite economical and priceless to the couple. You can't get this kind of gift anywhere except from the relative willing to give time and effort. They definitely won't get duplicates of this one!
