I’d imagine a wire frame with a LOT of hay packed in so it all stays together. I wonder how well it survives the weather.

This is a great shot. Maybe there was a great wind storm and that is really the farmer holding it up, or maybe he is some kind of super vilian, stealing all the worlds hay, or a hero keeping the hay at bay until all the cyclist pass by. sorry, for all the silliness, but that is one of those pics that make me into a kid again!
