I had so many problems with Vista on my laptop that I switched back to XP, but Windows 7 is really much better as I found on my wife's new laptop. Try using Revo Uninstaller if you have any problems removing old programs or Windows updates...works brilliantly and is dead simple. You don’t say if you’re using Vista or XP, I think. I don't have a laptop yet but I might invest in one (and sell my current desktop) since I might be moving to another city soon and it will be easier to just carry a laptop.
