During certain times of the year, the seagulls along with other species of birds will all perch themselves on top of the power lines that run between telephone poles and literally cover the sidewalks below with their droppings. This makes life as a pedestrian rather hazardous because if I'm walking on the sidewalk during one of these periods, I have to make sure that I'm not walking directly underneath a power line so that I can avoid being splattered by the droppings.
