Can a backyard have too many roses?

IMG_3960

My yard is so full of roses! I don’t think we’ve ever had this many roses blooming at once. It’s unbelievable.

The rose above is Jacques Cartier I believe … if not it’s the rose that’s right beside it which is Barrone Prevost. Both are lovely antique style roses with heavy rose perfume scent. In fact those two rose bushes are the largest in my yard right now standing close to 12 feet tall each and as I said just jam packed with roses.

I love it. I wish my roses would bloom like this all season, but of course the first roses of spring or early summer are always the most prolific.

I love my roses, but there needs to be a selection of different flowers in order for the energy to flow properly. Your roses do look really pretty though.

I found this post and couldn’t resist commenting to it. No, I don’t think it is possible to have too many roses LOL!

Especially in Ontario, where the weather is not always conducive to prolific blooming, (and where I have lost more roses than I care to mention over the years,) it is best to enjoy them – the more the merrier!

Many of the old garden roses do well – they are often hardy to zone 4 and can withstand fluctuations in the climate.

    Enjoying your site!
