I just got my smart car and love it. I love that the price is low and it fits nicely in our small garage. Gas mileage is pretty good (not as good as Prius) and is great for around town (not so great for long drives). It handles very well in the snow and is indeed very 'smart' (including production techniques that are good for the environment).

Biggest down side is that the waiting list can be as long as a year in the U.S. I kept my 1996 Taurus around until the smart car was confirmed. If you live in Canada I suppose you don't have the wait and not sure what model choices are available (I have 2008 Passion with 451 gas engine).
