The Baronne
I’m showing off my royal roses and flowers this Sunday. One of my sites has a prince and another a royal purple flower.
This rose is called Baronne Prevost and it’s an antique rose with a lovely damask rose scent. I love old roses with their quartered sections. This rose just looks full with many petals but when it first forms the petals are divided into four sections and it’s just lovely.
I think I can almost say that the Baronne is growing into a short tree as it’s holding at about eight feet tall and each year it’s main branches get thicker and thicker. That’s a tree or a large shrub, right?
Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

Nice shot of the rose, the colour and texture are just right, i can almost sniff it from here.

Great picture. The flower reminds us of a peony.

That is the most perfect shade of pink I’ve ever seen on a rose. Gorgeous!!

This is one of the prettiest pink roses I’ve seen. Your “tree” must be spectacular. (We designate bushes pruned into a tree shape to be small trees when they reach 8-10 feet, so yours qualifies.)

Lovely rose. I love old roses too. They have the most wonderful scents.
